Judge Eligibility and Application Information
1. Any USEF recognized or recorded “R” or “r” rated hunter/jumper or hunt seat equitation judge is automatically eligible to judge SAHJA shows.
2. Any non-USEF recorded judge who wants to be an SAHJA-approved judge must submit an application to the SAHJA on the official SAHJA form.
3. After the application is received, the Judges Committee may approve applicant to become a “learner” judge. The applicants must go through the set requirements of learner judging with approved “mentor” judges at SAHJA shows. Mentor judges are asked to review the learner judge and provide feedback to the Judges Committee.At the discretion of the Judges Committee learner judges are then approved to judge SAHJA shows.
4. Judges are not required to be SAHJA members
